About the Whisky
Since Sir Alexander Ramsay established the distillery in1824 we’ve been going to extraordinary lengths to capture the purest expression of our whisky’s character. Located in the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorms, we don’t just use crystal clear mountain water as an ingredient, we drench our stills with it, cooling the copper so only the finest vapours rise.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR
Amber gold.
NOSE
Banana, citrus fruit and plum, combines with raisin, fig and ginger bread.
TASTE
Spiced pear, caramelised orange and coffee, tempered by liquorice that then makes way to morello cherry, plum and treacle.
MATURATION
Matured for 22 years in American ex-bourbon casks, the perfect maturation partner for the tropical distillery character derived from our unique copper cooling ring distillation process.
