About the Whisky
Back in the 1970s, the BenRiach Distillery made the bold move of returning to distilling peated malt, at a time when most Speyside distillers had moved their focus towards unpeated malt distillation. Aged for over two decades, this is a rare opportunity to experience a peated single malt of this age in Speyside. To create BenRiach Temporis, our Master Blender has expertly married together an eclectic mix of four casks: Bourbon barrels, virgin oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry and Oloroso sherry.
Colour : Rich Amber
Nose : Caramelised pear and toasted oak spice fused with honeyed peat and smoked pinewood.
Taste : Smooth creamy peat builds uncover roasted orchard fruits and eucalyptus. Tropical pineapple and star anise gradually appear with smoked cinnamon embers, lingering long into the sweet and smoky finish.
